How to Make the Most of Your Medicare Benefits
Start reaping the benefits of your new healthcare plan.
It’s a new year, so it’s time to start making the most of your Medicare benefits. Start here with these tips and to-dos!
Connect With Your Dr. Right
Think of your doctors as your partners in health. They’ll work with you to assess your overall wellness, track any concerning changes, and help you stay ahead of medical problems.
Want to change doctors or don’t currently have a doctor who accepts Medicare? Search for physicians at medicare.gov. Clover Health members can search for in-network providers here.

Get Your Meds by Mail
Many people enrolled in Medicare use a mail-order pharmacy service, which lets you receive up to a 100-day supply of medicine directly to your home or wherever you choose. You’ll save time and avoid the hassle of going out to the pharmacy. Plus, the service helps you keep up with your medication by making sure you don’t run out. Contact your plan to ask about mail-order pharmacy options.

Stay a Step Ahead with Preventive Care
Exams, screenings, and tests that detect health problems early—before they are harder to treat or cure—are called preventive care. Vaccines, wellness programs, and checkups are also considered preventive. With the help of these powerful tools, you and your doctor can spot red flags and treat them as early as possible.
Medicare pays for many types of preventive services—that means they are available at no cost to you. Common preventive care services are listed below. Speak with your doctor about the right options for you.
